I’m Stewart Jamieson — an AI researcher and roboticist building uncertainty-aware machine learning: systems that know the limits of their own knowledge, and how to overcome them. At Themis AI, I lead the work to turn that research into AI the world can trust.
For a decade, one fundamental question has run through everything I’ve built — how do we build AI systems that understand the limits of their own knowledge? From uncertainty quantification for self-driving vision, to risk-aware online learning and Bayesian inference for autonomous robots, to commercializing that research as reliable, de-risked AI.
